The Apple Watch is currently on sale in just nine countries: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. However, during yesterday's earnings call conference, CEO Tim Cook hinted the smartwatch could be coming to more countries in late June, which is in about two months.
During the results call, Cook didn't reveal much regarding the Watch and launch sales. However, he did mention that Apple is already making adjustments to meet demand, saying customer response has been "overwhelmingly positive." Here's what the CEO said:
"Right now demand is greater than supply, so we're working hard to remedy that."
Also, Apple's boss said there are now more than 3,500 apps available for the Apple Watch, adding
"We couldn't be happier about how things are going from that point of view."
It seems that Apple was aiming for 1000 only, but the actual numbers are much better. Tim Cook also reminded that when the iPhone launched, there were about 500 available apps and the iPad had roughly 1,000.
