Transfer all data to new iPad

Hi all, newbie here. I need to transfer all the data from my old wifi model to a 3G. Could anyone guide me? Thanks....

This is actually very easy to do. Do a sync with your old iPad and then plug in your new one and you will be asked if you want your new iPad to be a truly new device or restored from a previous device and at this point you will select restored. iTunes will then restore from the sync you just performed on your old iPad. Good luck and enjoy your new iPad.

It should transfer everything as it believes it is doing a restore

Nothing, it will still also have all the data, apps, music etc on. Unless you choose to restore it or change the sync settings.

If you're keeping both iPads on the same iTunes account, make sure you've given the iPads two different names. Otherwise, you might run into trouble if you've got slightly different data or content on each and you synch both. You could end up overwriting data on one or the other, or unknowingly backing up one over the other's data.

If you name the iPads differently, you should be fine.
