Transfering a folder from my PC to an app on my iPad through FileSharing

Good morning, I want to transfer a folder (not a file) to an app on my iPad through FileSharing in iTunes. If I click on the add button at the app under FileSharing in iTunes, then select the folder it only opens the folder, the folder doesn't get selected.

So, then I tried to use File/Add Folder to Library, then I can select the folder...a progress bar appears on my pc screen showing files or something is going somewhere, but nothing happens further and the folder doesn't appear in the app under FileSharing on iTunes.

Please help.

That function just imports various media found within the selected folder into iTunes.

What app is it you are transferring to, and what type of files are in said folder?

Hi

It's a specialised app created specifically for our company to create simulations of our products. The folders I need to add into the app is the data that the app uses to create the simulations. I thought it might be a simple something I am doing wrong, but after further research it is apparent that iTunes can't be used to add in folders into apps, but there are other tools like Diskaid, which I'll be exploring next and I've also ask assistance from our international IT support within our group.

If an app has been developed specifically for your company, you need to talk to your support staff about how to import data.
