transferring apps between pages

I am new to the ipad and have just learned how to make folders. Now I have room on the pages to move apps from one page to the previous but I can't figure out how to do it . Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

Thanks for the video Dannyboy. I downloaded the new User guide 181 pages and had them printed into a manual yesterday at Office Depot,cost me $20.00,well worth it to hav it at my fingertips.
