Travel in exumas , bahamas

We will be sailing iin exumas in the bahamas. I have i pad 2 with verizon. Can I get weather radar on ipad to work?
Don't really need other functions like mail or internet. Thanks

Good luck on your travels - I would think you might need wifi to get the weather radar app to work...
