I've more or less given up on this ridiculous quest, I'll bet the dental surgery was moe enjoyable! I also still have the balloon lurking around on my iPhone game.

I also agree that the quest is ridiculous, it's impossible to complete..

I was wondering the same thing, think it's reasonably certain to assume you won't finish the quest.

I don't think there is any way to finish it unless you buy crystals. I kept track for of the drop rates for a few days: 75 pumpkinheads (25/day) dropped 35 pumpkins and 1 candy. Not great odds!

There was another quest around May that had a similar balloon in the same place. Once the quest timed-out (or was completed), the balloon sailed up into the sky. I expect this to do the same.

The balloon sailed away on my iPad when I completed the quest sure enough. However it is still lurking around on my iPhone, beginning to get a little crowded on there now.

Me three! But not on the iPhone and they still haven't fixed the Marble Fiord quest. However, on the plus side the drop rate from the pumpkins seems to have improved although whether it will be enough to finish the quest remains to be seen.
