Turn off headphone option

I plugged into a headset and now don't know how to turn it off? Can anyone help?

pull it out, it automatically turns on when headset is plug in.

Thanks but not that easy. I don't have the headset plugged in and yet I don't have speaker operation?

I don't understand. If it is not plugged in, how do you know it is on and has to be turned off?

Try turning up the iPad volume.
