TV shows and I tunes

I have a TV show that I have on my computer and converted to the mp4 format. I opened Itunes went to the TV show tab did a file add went to the location where the show was and added it. When I went back to find it I noticed that instead of being in the tv show tab it was in the movie tab. No big deal I figured as long as I knew where it was. Later I went to the Ipad and hit the movies icon and the shows were not in there at all. Went back to the computer pulled up Itunes and they show in the movie tab where they were before.

Can anyone help me with what i did wrong and how I can fix it.
