Apple Mail. Some emails say “This message is from a mailing list” with an option to Unsubscribe. How does this work, and does it really work in all instances? I’ve clicked unsubscribe a few times but not really taken note of those I’ve unsubscribed from!
I ask as unsubscribing from some mailing lists can be a chore at times.

I find it usually works, but not always.

Apple and some other email providers supply the feature, but it is up to the email sender to enable and honor the request. So, it depends. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just lets the email sender know they've got a valid address.

I'd say it is worth trying at least once with the well known email sources, but I'd avoid it with the sketch never before heard of emails.

It should at least work with any email newsletter or subscription that you actually signed up for.

The ones I didn't sign up for, I find in Gmail's webmail, and report as spam.
