What's new

Upgrade and then Overload?

I would look again at iTunes and see if there are more podcasts still pending, just to be safe, do you know if you deleted them all? Then I would try a reset of your iPad, not sure if you only restarted it before. This is a recommended step after any update to the iPad, it's just housekeeping to make sure everything has settled in nicely.

Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

Try updating all again and let us know what happens.

Happy to report that I'm all set - I updated all apps on the PC and then synched & everything on the iPad is now updated! Thank you both!!

Glad you are good to go.

Remember the moral of the story. Operating system upgrades should be the only active task when being performed. This guideline applies to all platforms/devices.

Mistakes lead to learning - never will I forget this lesson - :)

Glad you've cleared all this up. Midranger has some very good advice for when upgrading the Operating System for the iPad. Mistakes are often the best way to learn and it's good that you are more likely to remember them too. :). Enjoy!
