Upgrade to ios 6 when jailbroken.

Hey guys!

So, I have the new iPad, running iOS 5.1.1 and I've jailbroken it using Absinthe v.2.0.4. Will I do any damage if I restore it, to remove cydia and the jailbreak, and install iOS 6?
If possible could you guys tell me the risks?
I'm not willing to attempt this without being 100%, as I don't want a £400 brick!

I forgot to mention that apple told me it could damage the software, when it sends for authorisation on installing iOS 6, as apple systems would reject it.
