does anyone know if you can put an extension usb cable on the ipad without effecting its operation ? I have placed it on my desk in a corner in its dock and the cable is no longer long enough.

Used two the other day as well as the connector lead so I could charge it while reading in bed. Worked fine.
Expect there's a limit to the cable length you can use though.
