using outlook on Ipad

I am a relatively new Ipad user. I have a macbookpro as well. A relative is considering buying an Ipad and wants to know if he can use outlook on it, and if there are any problems using outlook. How should I advise him?

Outlook is a Windows/Mac application and will not run on the iPad. So he would have to use a different app. What does he use Outlook for? Emails, contact management, calendar and tasks?

There is no direct iOS equivalent for Outlook, but most of it's features can also be carried out on the iPad with the right app.
