Verizon Releases More Details About iPad and MiFi Data Plans

AppleInsider reports tonight that Verizon has released more details about the various data plans it intends to offer to customers who will be buying the iPad in its stores from October 28th. As well as the 1GB @ $20-per-month deal already announced today, AppleInsider says that Verizon will also be offering a 3GB plan for $35 and a 5GB plan for $50. This is actually much cheaper than Verizon’s usual rates of 250MB for $35 and 5GB for $60. However, in order to benefit from the cheaper data plans, you’ll have to buy a WiFi iPad and Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot bundle. Apparently that goes for someone who already owns a MiFi 2200 but wants to buy their iPad from Verizon – as they’re not buying the two together as a bundle, they won’t be eligible for the discounted plans. Harsh!

As far as the bundle prices are concerned, the MiFi 2200 and 16GB iPad bundle will retail for $629.99, and the 32GB and MiFi model will go for $729.99, with the 64GB iPad and MiFi bundle selling for $829.99.
