Video upside down

Why do my videos taken by the Ipad 3 appear upside down to the recipient on her laptop? I have tried taking video with the screen locked and it still comes out upside down at her end?

When you shoot video, make sure the home button is either down or to your right, or use QuickTime to view them.


That should show them right way up.

Thanks for the help. At first I sent a video with the home button on the bottom But the recipient saw the video sideways! I can send a short video with the home button on the right-hand side of my iPad but I had to unlock my iPad because I was seeing it upside down myself. The recipient finally saw my video in the correct orientation.

Camera has to be at the top....which puts the home button on the right
