Voice recorder

I've had the ipad3 for a month or so, and really would like to have the voice recorder from the iPhone. It is simple Nd very functional. Does anyone know if there is a similar recorder for the iPad ? And why didn't that come with the iPad?

There are a few apps in the app store. Some free some not. I suggest start with the free ones till you find an app that works for your needs. Good luck!

You can try Dragon Go!, from Nuance, the people that make Dragon Dictate. IMHO, the best on the iPad.

I'm still in favor of Evernote (yes, I know I'm boringly repetitive on this).

No, it's not as simple as a straight up voice recording app, but you get to keep all you notes (text, audio, picture) in the same place (even combined), and searchable.

I got one simply called Voice Recorder HD. Basic, but can also export to Dropbox and Soundhound.

Even more basic is QuickVoice. Only export options are email.
