Warning: New iPads Being Shipped With 3.2.2

Hi All,

Just wanted to let those who have not yet purchased an iPad, Apple has started sending out iPads with 3.2.2 pre-installed. I ordered one a couple of weeks ago and just got it today.

You may have different luck if you get one in an Apple store, but I wasn't so lucky with my online order.

they always ship iOS devices with the latest version days after a new iOS is released.

and if you get a replacement (refurbished) device the day after a new iOS is released chances are you will get it with the new iOS on it.

I saw posts on another forum as recent as a week ago with people getting 3.2.1. I just wanted to let people know.

I think they should leave the choice open to personnal decision...that move sucks.

It does not matter what apple does....there will always be a jailbreak method. no company can stop it.

I hope that Apple gets in big trouble for what it is doing when the law now says that jail breaking is allowed. I so look forward to it.

Acutally no it hasnt always been legal but a new DMCA law was pass to say that it is legal.

Anways count me as one of the unlucky ones that has a 3.2.2 right out of the box. Im wondering why cyndia would close the doors on the downgrade method that work for many even if they didnt have a jail broken or save there shh blobs makes no sense to me...

The only thing that could potentially become a legal issue is when Apple starts remotely disabling iPhones with that new patent. I suspect lawsuits will occur.

Just got my ipad from Apple and yes, it came with 3.2.2
There just has to be a way for us to downgrade it without needing the SHSH blobs. Even if we get root access, can't there be a way to force install 3.2.1? Or can't we request SHSH blobs for 3.2.2 and alter them to 3.2.1?

C'mon ipad gurus!!

Ijust wish cyndia would open the doors again if you look at the download thread many with fresh 3.2.2 and no jailbreak before or save shh blob could downgrade, doesn't this defeat what cydnia stand for?

No Mike I am not. You are just not understanding what I said.

Let me make it simple for you.

1.) Apple hates Jailbreaking and will do ANYTHING to stop it.
2.) Court says that Jailbreaking is allowed.
3.) Apple laughs at court and STILL tries to stop Jailbreaking.

I am waiting for step 4 where someone tries to sue Apple for not going along with the court ruling. When that happens I will be cheering for the person and wins.....and it will not be Apple.
