You are so right! I love the Autumn. All those orange and red leaves everywhere. Unfortunately our mini summer is confusing all our plants into growing again.

yes we are geting snow on the east cost of USA way to soon its still 7 weeks till winter . it's a wet heavy snow there is tree still with leaves on them and all that heavy snow is snapping. trees and knocking out power for about 500'000 homes not fun haveing that type snow this early

I'm good. It's not so cold in the south west of England but Tim, one of our mods, lives in Scotland so he's had some snow.

You can't predict nature. I teach science and I admit that we try to predict the way the weather may go but something always happens to divert it

The reason for that Hayles is that we rely too much on Technology these days, Farmers can always tell you what weather is about to arrive, they have to be able to do it for harvesting and thrashing at the right time. They base their predictions on natural occurences and 6th sense, something most people have forgotten how to use.

Yes, hubby was a farmer and is good at predicting what's going to happen weather wise. A colleague of mine gave me a "calendar" of weather predictions which are fairly accurate. It's the day to day weather that's unpredictable.

It's Melbourne cup day today in Australia.
In Vanuatu today.
Have guests getting married on the beach.
Weather here overcast hot and no wind.
Perfect for great photos and flower decorations.
Off to make a bridal bouquet and cook the lobsters for luncheon!

Today was nice sunny dry and quite mild. However windy gusts are getting those leaves down. It may be wet tomorrow which saves me a job raking them up!
