Weird emails that don't delete

I was using the "Search iPad" function and found a bunch of old emails I had sent a while back. I can open them but they don't appear in my email folders anywhere. i can read them but I can't delete them. I KNOW I deleted them from my email account a long time ago, but there they are when I search for them with "Search iPad." How do I get rid of them???

They will disappear over time. It's one of the annoying things about iOS. There is no way to delete them. If you want to stop them coming up in searches, the only way to do it is to knock Mail out of Spotlight Search in Settings.
