Being driven down the East Coast of Scotland by my wife and keeping in touch with iPF using 3G. After a couple of weeks of beautiful weather, the fine spell has finally 'broken' and we're back to the 'normal' mist and rain.

Still driving, Tim? You should take some pictures!

Only have an iPad 1 and I'm not sure how to post a photo taken with my phone from the iPad to iPF. Anyway, it's a freeway and it's misty....

what phone?

Bluetooth to iPad?

email photos to yourself?

no getting out of this now :)

Yes- but then how do I post them on iPF from an iPad? The only upload I'm able to do is to iDisk. There's no way that I know of to upload a photo from an iPad to a website...or have I been missing something all these months --- :(

When you are writing a post in iPF, you can click on Attachments, it is a bluish button on the upper left corner, that way you can upload images from the Camera Roll. It stores the images on ipadforums.net, so uploading is straight forward.

It's possible but for me it's tedious. From the album I upload pics to photobucket, from photobucket get the image code. It will then be copied to a clipboard here in ipadforum. Most usually takes me 2-3 minutes. :p

It doesn't take longer then 20sec, including uploading the image, if you add the image directly from iPF. :)

There's too much pressure moderating all these posts and keeping all of you under control :D

I only have iDisk, I think there's a way you can it from there, too, that the poet mentioned in a post a while ago - but I can't recall now how to do this. :(

you'll need to upload the image to a webspace, dunno whether iDisk will work or not, then open IPad forum in safari, user cp, edit profile picture

It's the posting to a website from an iPad that's the issue. The poet mentioned in a post how you can reference, using a URL, an image stored in iDisk and use that on an iPF posting to point to the iDisk image - but I've forgotten. I recall that the URL was 'involved' (another way of saying I didn't know what he was talking about, but there was some 'unusual' formatting there). I can never find anything using the iPF 'Search' button, I always use Google and append iPadForum to the search term and that works every time, so perhaps I'll give it a go and try to locate his original post..
