This maybe a dumb question but what is switch control? It's in settings where you can set up a shortcut when you triple click the home button.

There are many switches in settings that control numerous functions. The triple click of the home button is one of many functions controlled by switches in settings. Is there any particular function you're trying to control?

It's in accessibility shortcuts it's one of the options to choose from.

Switch control is the ability to connect the iPad to external switches/controls that will allow you to step through items on the iPad one-by-one and select them. It's an accessibility feature for people with sever physical disabilities.
