On the left side u see "Devices" and under that u see YOUR iPad and what It's named to @ the moment, tap once on the "existing name" and u will be able to change the name.

All of my computers have names based on undead monsters. Ghoul, Shadow, Shade, Skeleton. My iPod Touch is Wight and my iPad is Spectre. Even my Nano is named Zombie.
