Research never showed this up as a problem and when we asked the question in the shop prior to purchase we were told that yes you can use BT for photos. They failed to mention that only if you have a iPhone. I bought the iPad for the wife who is totally new to computing to use and she is not very pleased that she cannot use BT to send photos from her phone to the iPad. Another issue is editing photos. You edit them on the iPad but when transferring them back to the PC they lose all the edits. As we cannot print from the iPad i don't know if the edit remains in place on printing.
I have a first generation iPad and as far as editing my photos it does a great job. When I put them back on my HP Windows Vista computer, I treat my iPad like a storage flash drive. Before I go to ITunes, I go straight to my computer window. It shows up like a flash drive I then transport my pictures into a folder in documents. I have recently transferred those same photos onto a flash drive and took them to walmart and printed them off, edited mode and all. The photo printer told me on the edited photos that there was low something or other and didn't recommend printing them. I did it anyway and they turned out fabulous. If I can do it anyone can.
