I'm perfectly content with the features my iPad currently has, but I think that a significant UI overhaul is needed, as it seems that the general interest in iOS devices is starting to wane...

This is a rather interesting concept:

It's significantly different, yet not so different that it seems alienating. I'd probably miss the home screen dock found in older iOS versions, though.

So, what would you like to see from iOS 7? New features and modifications welcome.

-The usual things. Like cursor placement keys, a button or built in app that quickly closes all open apps, email folder creation capabilities, better native photo app, not having to use iTunes at all for anything, better speaker placement and sound output.

Nothing major. I don't want the interface changed much at all. It's great as is so no need to muck with it.
+... not having to use iTunes at all for anything,...

I WANT the ability to stick Newsstand in a folder. My OCD is killing me! Lolz

It would be handy to be able to get rid of stock apps completely, such as Newsstand. If Apple can assume that some people don't want features like iBooks, and make us download them, surely they could do the same for Newsstand? In the time since it appeared, I don't think I've seen a single positive comment about it.

I'm content with the GUI as it is. I'd like to see a single button for clearing the recent apps bar, and maybe some smarter icons, such as weather showing the actual temperature etc.

It would be useful if the GPS could make use of the facility of the device to know when it is approaching a place, rather than when it's leaving it, but that's probably something that needs to be built into apps, rather than the OS. Example, when I'm driving down a bush road, I don't want to take my eyes off the road at all, so if I could set up so that the iPad could warn me when I'm approaching the correct junction, it would save me stopping to check.

He he, seems we all have similar feelings about the Newsstand. I agree about the ability to get rid of stock apps if you don't need them.
Plus it would be great if they adopted some useful Cydia tweaks (especially the toggles part, and more customizations of the status bar), as well as include multi-gestures into the iPhone version (as to prolong the life of its Home button ;) ).
And it wouldn't hurt to have the option to change camera's resolution and whatnot.

To not need to jailbreak to get what I want I.e, as many apps in a folder as I want, to scroll vertically and horizontally, to be able to scroll the dock, change the keyboard color, have the choice of how many icons on a page, to be able to lock apps if I wish.

Agreed. I use iBooks as well as zinio. But it annoys me that I can't stick move specific apps into folders.

One item I would like, amongst many others, is to have automatic app updates with a report sent to the notification area of what was updated. This could be turned on or off in the settings.

One Word: Cydia. I know it'll never happen but if we're asking I'd also like it to dispense twinkies too

Fix the USB port in the camera kit.

I.e. real USB not pseudo.

From iOS 7 what I think it should have is :

More theme wallpapers
Airdrop ( for use between iPod/iPad/mac)
More sound output
More depth in settings so you can customise your apple device
Fresh looking app icons

I would like to see:

More integration between apps and notification center - let the apps publish timely info there like the weather app does!
More integration between apps and Siri
Ability to customize the interface of the notification center - the lists can get unwieldy.
