What's new

What's the last movie you saw?

Ha, we never go out to see movies or rent them. I think the last movie I watched was Smokey and the Bandit.

Watched two movies this weekend.

"The Big Year" stars Owen Wilson, Steve Martin & Jack Black. It's a story about "extreme" bird watchers. A good kick back and relax film with a restrained Jack Black who's a fine actor when he's not being over-the-top.

"Far North" is a twisted story of survival. The cinematography (the Arctic) knocked me out.
It feels like a fantasy story because you can't nail down a time period or circumstances. Could have been an alternate time line tale.

I finally watched "The Intouchables"! My friends told me it's a good one, and I decided - the right time to see how is it? And really great movie, liked it a lot) recommend to everyone who haven't seen yet)

"Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore "
1974
Martin Scorsese directed.

Not too dated and who can resist a movie that opens with Mott The Hoople's "All The Way To Memphis".

Have just watched 'Scum' with a very young looking Ray Winstone, very enjoyable......next stop 'Quadrophenia', and then I think it's time for a 'Lord of the Rings' extended edition marathon.......crack out the wine and Pringles!!

Good idea. Love those films. Can't wait for the three hobbit movies. I'm amazed they could squeeze 3 out of that book. But hey, who am I to moan. More to watch.

Last night, I saw Killer Joe. It is an amazingly BAD subject movie where all the characters are strange and unlikeable and the scenery is so stereotypical that you cannot help but stay in your seat and watch it all the way through. I am NOT a Matthew McConoughey fan and it seems I'm seeing him in more of these independent movies of late, but this movie is a true horror film. And well worth the price of admission!

Godzilla (American one) was the last movie I watched
It made me sad though because they killed her and her babies :(

Why do animals always have to be vicious in movies?! I find it wrong because animals are Gods creations too!
