What's new

What's the last movie you saw?

I discovered that my local library has all the Michael Palin travel DVDs (yes, THAT Michael Palin). Last night, we watched the first two episodes of Sahara. I don't know what to compare these to...if you have any interest in other cultures, you might give it a try. We've thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

Oh, that's a good series. I'll have to look them up. I've seen only an episode or two. Thanks for the reminder.

My husband tricked me into watching Warm Bodies tonight. Warm Bodies (2013) - IMDb

I would never knowingly go see any movie about zombies. He said we were going to see a comedy. Now he'll have to endure two chick flicks as payback.

Tie him up and make sure he cannot turn his head away from the screen.....then play '12 Monkeys' starring Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis and others. The most noxious movie I almost watched. Thank goodness I have other TV's and HD boxes to escape to. Just my opinion.

Was traveling by train last week and enjoyed "Star Trek - Generations", on my iPad 2. Rented it from iTunes in standard definition.

Is that his Pole to Pole? Those are great

Pole to Pole is another of his trips. I haven't gotten to that one yet. Palin has a website with the text and photos from the books that spun off from the TV series, among other things. It's worth a stop if just for the superb photos, even if you've already seen the TV shows.

My son has all Star Trek films plus all the series. :-D
Generations is good, but I think First Contact and Insurrection are better. I also like Star Trek by director J. J. Abrams.

Now you know anything made by JJ Abrahms so excellent. Especially the upcoming Star Wars Vll

Just watched 7 Psychopaths. I think I may watch it again this weekend.

If you want to see what the desert is like here the end part up until the Joshua Tree National forest is right next to my drive to and from work in fact I recognized a couple of my trees. If you ever see a Joshua Tree in person you will realize they all have personalities and each is very distinctly different.
