It's a very good action movie and from a technical standpoint is virtually perfect. But, as you said, it certainly isn't factually accurate. The back stories of the crew and the battle damage suffered by the Memphis Belle in this movie are certainly cases of dramatic licence.

Oh yes definitely, Belle's final flight was just a more or less routine milk run (as its referred to).
I suppose it happens with all true life dramas, They feel they have to spice things up.

Now streaming on Netflix. After five minutes, the novelty of raunchy language and constant sex references wore off, and I began to appreciate the wicked satire and brilliant hilarity. The only Seth Rogan movie I could ever watch all the way to the end. Absolutely not for children.
