I did go to Shanghai 2 years ago and loved it. Hubby and I took a suitcase inside another each. Had a wonderful time. I didn't see the Silk market though...drat! But there is so much to see and do there. Loved the shopping too, they have a lot of weird and wonderful items there.

Well I plan to go back, Beijing this time, just don't know when though and I'll keep that in mind for sure. Thanks. Always great to have the inside scoop on places.
