Lol Quake....very good reasons!
Carol....at least you share your popcorn. :D

Great list of macho reasons! We should compile a feminine version.

Watching a film that's really scary or exciting is such a good workout for me! I can't stop wriggling about, shivering, tensing up core muscles (I know my physio jargon!), squeezing my toes, kicking out feet & hitting a dog (by mistake!), huddling down behind a throw. And that's just while the opening credits are running :-)

Wonder if your blood pressure goes up with all this fright? Bet it does. Might be interesting to check it, but you wouldn't think about that at the time, would you?

Anyone remember the "Quatermass Experiment"? It was in black & white, a series on BBC TV years ago which frightened me frantic. The music made it much worse--Holst's Planet Suite: "Mars" which is scary anyway & combining that with the film was inspired. I literally couldn't make myself watch the last episode & went to bed but I could hear the music from downstairs... I'm shivering now at the memory!

Opening credits. Bwahahaha! That gave me a loud fart. You're funny.
In addition, seeing your ma-in-law on white sleeping clothes with facial mask after the movie. Goodbye home!

Here's my place: Blenheim Palace estate parkland in Oxfordshire, UK.

This is me on Mickey, with my modest little pile in the background!:-)
If you can make it out, Mickey has the iPad, but I need to grab it off him to stop him sending something rude to the forum.
He's rather chuffed that the picture on the iPad shows himself with me and the mini iPad...and that iPad shows....you get the picture??? Surreal!

Mickey wants to point out that the Olympic torch will be passing through Blenheim Palace in a few days time. He's so excited that he might get to be on the telly!
