Watching a film that's really scary or exciting is such a good workout for me! I can't stop wriggling about, shivering, tensing up core muscles (I know my physio jargon!), squeezing my toes, kicking out feet & hitting a dog (by mistake!), huddling down behind a throw. And that's just while the opening credits are running
Wonder if your blood pressure goes up with all this fright? Bet it does. Might be interesting to check it, but you wouldn't think about that at the time, would you?
Anyone remember the "Quatermass Experiment"? It was in black & white, a series on BBC TV years ago which frightened me frantic. The music made it much worse--Holst's Planet Suite: "Mars" which is scary anyway & combining that with the film was inspired. I literally couldn't make myself watch the last episode & went to bed but I could hear the music from downstairs... I'm shivering now at the memory!
