Where is my download stored on my iPad 2

My daughter sent me apdf file to download which it did then it and the email disappeared so I cannot read the file. Where has it gone or have I lost it forever?

did you check the trash folder of the email program. it should be there if you deleted it

What email system are you using? It could be in the trash, or your spam filter may have thrown it in the spam file. Tap on your mailboxes and check each one. If you have no luck have your daughter re-send the PDF file.
