Perhaps an update to the poll to include the iPad 2 is now in order? Would be interesting to see the percentage of iPad 1 owners upgrading to iPad 2 - and reasons why.

I was thinking about getting an IPAD 2 because then I would only need Verizon as my data provider instead of needing AT & T for this IPAD 1. But now I am thinking if I can get me a SIM card from Verizon and use that in IPAD 1 I will keep IPAD 1.

I got the ipad 32g wi-fi version. It was within my budget, and I didn't think I needed such huge storage because I would only be using it to store ebooks and music. Also, the 3G fees are expensive and I wouldn't be able to justify the cost. Anyway, I find that the wi-fi is enough to suit my needs, both for home and outside if I'm lucky enough to find a hotspot.

AT & T has 3G service for 25.00 each month for 2GB of usage plus one cal simply add another 2GB for another 25.00 if needed.

Or you can add 1GB for another $10.00 if you add a iPad data plan to your AT&T account

White iPad 2 with 32 Gb WiFi. A friend of mine bought it at the NY airport, and travelled (he is a flight engineer) with it via Johanesburg to London, than to Instanbul, Rome, to Belgrade here. So, quite a traveller, my iPad. ;)

64 GB AT&T. I wanted black, but white was IN STOCK.

I probably won't activate the 3G very often, (I picked up a wireless roFuter that I can plug my computer's air card into, then run either or both using the hotspot) but I wanted the GPS.

IPad2 wifi 16g in white. I wanted black with more memory but that was all available and I did not want to wait.

I initial bought the the iPad 2, but 5 days later exchanged it for the iPad 1 32G. I love it!

Why did you exchange the IPAD 2 for the PAD 1?

16 wifi .. I deliberately choose the smallest version to prevent that I store everything on the iPad and that I am forced to look for more handy solutions to not store stuff on your iPad. Did the same with my new MB Air, and it works great!
