Who Drinks Coffee & Why

I have a Cuisinart K-Cup Machine. I don't like to drink most coffees plain. Green Mountain has a really delicious medium roast called Nantucket Blend that I enjoy plain. It is either that or a Chai Latte:)

Does Green Mountain operate its own coffee shops like Starbucks. I live in Canada and haven't seen any here although their k-cups are sold here.

I have a stash of Starbucks choco beans at work for my 12 hour days! Works great and tastes good too!

I tried some of those back when Starbucks was just one location in Seattle.

Admiral, have you tried this variety? It should be strong enough for you.

Don't think so. I've driven through the most inhabited parts of Vermont and never seen one. They do have a visitor's center in Vermont, though. I didn't have time to stop; just drove by.

I have tried it. It lives up to its claim too.
In fact - thank you for the reminder. This brand often goes on sales in DEC / JAN as the older roasting dates begin to expire.

I started drinking coffee in college. I am not a big coffee drinker as I drink it every once in a while. Now that I am older and have a night job, I drink a Starbucks before work and some cheap powder stuff my work gives us. Sometimes they leave us those creamer cups but usually left with powdered creamer. Sometimes I'll get McDonald's coffee. Just a casual coffee drinker I guess?

What's the "powder" coffee at work?

I think I am just a casual coffee drinker. Usually drink a cup every once in a while. Started drinking coffee after high school. Usually drink Starbucks. Lately been drinking McDonald's coffee as its quicker to get near my work. If I drink coffee at work, they give us the cheap powder stuff. Sometimes we get the liquid creamer cups but usually it's powdered.

Here's what we drink at home, red can in the morning, green can after dinner:

I've not heard of that brand. Is it a local roaster?

It has been a while since I lived in New England but I seem to remember a huge store at the southern end just as you come into the state (tons of liqueur too). I remember it being on the 91 before getting to Brattleboro and I think it was in the middle of the highway (not sure why I would remember it being between the North and Southbound lanes, but I do. I used to pass it on my way up skiing in Vermont and New Hampshire. I didn't drink coffee, but remember a friend that did and he couldn't wait to get there and fill up the thermos.

I just read this on website, but this is not where you mentioned: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) was founded in 1981 as a small café in Waitsfield, Vermont.

Adding link: http://investor.gmcr.com/background.cfm

Found this elsewhere on corporate investor website:

1998............... Green Mountain Coffee closes retail stores to focus on wholesale business.
