Adobe Flash Player is the normal for providing high-effect, rich Web information.Flash is common with web designers as it enables them to make cartoon site including games or movies.

Flash is dead. Adobe has stated that they have given up on making a version that works on mobile devices. They have decided to embrace HTML5, and eventually all flash will be gone. There have been attempts to port it to the iPad, only to find that it was not a pleasant viewing experience. The Android tablets originally tried to beat Apple by providing Flash on their products, only to find customer disatisfaction.

You can watch videos on several sites. Netflix and Hulu + are just two of many. Some networks like ABC have their shows available fo view on the iPad.

I wouldn't say Flash is dead, as it'll be around for awhile yet while it's eventually phased out. But that will take several years.

I'll be glad to see it go, but in the meantime it sucks that you can't get it on the iPad. I mean, nobody would stand for a browser such as Firefox or IE or Chrome to not support it (could you imagine the outcry?), but somehow everyone justifies it to themselves when it comes to the iPad, which always amazes me. I get annoyed everytime I open up a site and there's a big hole where Flash should be or I get the "you must install Flash" message.

Regardless, I'm not sure what Adobe is doing. Thought they quit supporting it on mobile devices, but I just got an update for it on my Android phone. Maybe they just aren't developing new versions, but still supporting it?

Adobe has stop trying to make improvements to mobile Flash, but they will still fix problems they find. Flash will take a while to die, but almost all organizations, including Adobe, are looking beyond Flash.
