I'm currently on 8.1 on My iPad 4 -WIFI + AT&T 4G- currently not jailbroken but jailbroken in the past.
I've had this problem for a while and just decided to post:
When a rental is expired, Apple no longer comes in over the airwaves to delete the movie as soon as I open up the "Videos" app. Sometimes, the icons are blank and always after the expiration date, I am unable to play the movie, BUT unless I choose "edit," and manually delete the movies, they are taking up space on my iPad. I can tell that the manual deletes work, because my free space increases accordingly after each manual delete.
I know that this is not related to Jailbreaking as my Dad just had the exact issue with his iPad (Air 128 GIG WIFI on 7.1.2) and he his iPad has never been jailbroken.
Why don't me expired rentals get deleted?
