Wifi connection for iPad2

I have a Wi-Fi only iPad2 and have no problem using it at home.

However, on my weekly visit to a meeting held in my local Starbucks, I am unable to use the local wi-fi hotspot as I get the message, "you cannot log in as you are not connected to the Internet".

Can anyone help please?

In the settings - WIFI - you need to select the available WIFI Hotspot (so it has a checkmark in front).
Next you will have to open your Browser and go to any page - then the welcome screen of the SB Hotspot will open where you have to agree to terms of use. The next page will say "Now you are connected"...
At least this is how it works over here at SB...
