Will 2gb be Enough for me?

Hello all. I'm thinking about replacing the facotry stereo in my Jeep with an iPad. Primarially I want to use it to stream Sirius, and for navigation. When not in the Jeep I'm sure I'll have the iPad in my house tinkering with it, but I have wifi so I'm not worried about burning up the data plan at home.

I don't drive a whole lot, but when I do I usually drive 45 minutes or so each way.

Does anyone here stream Sirius, and have you found an issue with data usage? Will navigation use any data?

Interesting question... am MP3 song takes about 4M doesn't it? So 4M every 3 minutes is about 80M every hour of driving. I drove home with the GPS (maps-tracking) on the whole way home (1hr 15min) and I don't have more than 116M since the beginning of the month, so I don't think the maps take much data. I've not done a comprehensive test though.

I wonder if Sirius streams at the same speed as an mp3 download... Hmmmmmm

2GB is nothing.

My first couple months having the droid I downed almost 5GB a month because I listened to Pandora everytime I was in the car.

I just checked my usage for this month and I'm at 1.38GB and its not even halfway thru the month.

I listen to Pandora and podcasts everyday in the car ride to and from work (about an hour each way) IM+ chat, Facebook throughout the day. I have an iPad so I don't really use the iPhone for movies...but its all about audio. Also checking websites occasionally.

I would say my usage is moderate to heavy.
