Won't turn on

My I Pad won't turn on. It said that it had an update for the settings and when I clicked on it, it froze my IPad. I want to try and restore it and I don't even know where to find that in I Tunes. Can someone give me directions make sure they are for an idiot) on how to restore it on I Tunes.

When you press the power button you don't even get the little apple when it starts to boot up?

No nothing.

Do a reset, hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. This can take 25 to 30 seconds, so be patient. It will also take a little longer for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.
