Commuters at London’s snow bound and freezing cold St. Pancras Station got a bit of a treat to lift them momentarily out of their gloom this morning, with the appearance of a giant digital billboard assembled to celebrate the launch of the first ever Lara Croft game to appear on the iOS platform – Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

They’re calling it the “world’s largest iPhoneâ€, but of course it’s not really a giant iPhone, just a giant iPhone display made out of 56 iPads. Still looks pretty cool though, and what’s even cooler is the fact that once the display was over, 56 Londoners got to walk away with an iPad each, pre-loaded with the new game. Presumably they were given the iPads and didn’t just nick them!

“Gaming on the move is a fantastic way to keep entertained on those long winter commutes,†said Darrell Gallagher, Studio Head of Crystal Dynamics. “With temperatures in the UK set to drop again this week people need this today more than everâ€.
