How long did it take them to ship, from date of order?

I just placed mine today, and they're saying estimated arrival of July 12th. That seems pretty far off...that's almost 3 full weeks...

Has it been the experience of the group that they under promise and over deliver in this case, or is it pretty accurate.

I ordered these on June 10th. I got the Shipment notification on the 21st. According to the Fed-Ex tracking, I should have them on the 25th.

So 15 days form the date of order...

Regarding the iMacs and MBPs, are they made in SGP ? Or are they just sent to SGP via transit to AUS ? I actually never bothered to check where my iMac was made in as I've discarded the box.

I know there is an Apple office in Ang Mo Kio or somewhere near there, but I don't know if it is a factory or office.

I have been a specialist reseller since 1993 until 3 years ago when i sold my business all cto built to order computers ie Mac pros etc came from Singapore factory to Australia some times iMacs came out of china so. Yes they do manufacture in Singapore. Dell also is there as a manufacture? All iPhones ipods and ipads come from china factories. Displays from any where lol same as Mac books and Macbook Pros some from singapore some from china so there yu go I dont think the factory will be listed in your phone directory. Keep in mind that was 3 Years ago they all now be coming from china

The serial numbers is the ID for location of manufacture look at the first 2 letters but Keep in mind this is the entire product line Iphones,ipads, and I believe iPods come from China factory. It depends where you live so as an example most Mac Pro's and Imacs come from Singapore if you live in Australia, NZ and south east Asia Some one asked me not to long back how big the factory was in Cupertino, California I said the offices take up 3 Square miles ......... But no factory sorry. Next question... Lol The same individual thought Apple was worth 250 million my comment was that's strange last time I checked they had 45 billion in cash reserves...... lol Yes the factories are high tech Robot manufacturing in fact Singapore can change a design on the assemble line ie change of model within 14 hours which is truly amazing to say the least.

Not so fast!! Once it left China, it got stuck in Anchorage AK and still hasn't popped loose. Mine has the same shipping schedule with the Anchorage AK piece added. My phone call to Fed Ex got the customs have it story and instead of coming today, maybe Monday. We will see. Teaches us patience though.

Fed-Ex also has ground home delivery shipping on Saturday's as well (Monday's threw Saturday's). Not sure what catagory this falls into tho....

Unfortunately, the bit about customs is true. Customs can grab random items coming in and hold them for inspection for pretty much as long as they feel. Mine is coming in right behind yours. Left China today. Hoping it might come on through since there are several iPad's being held there now.
