Yet another media player thread...

Hi,
First post here...so HELLO!
I can't google anymore (hours and still counting), so I need your help&knowlege:
Is there any media player out there that can play streaming video using the ipad's hardware decoding capabilities?
I want (as everyone else!) ,to stream video (mkv-avi ) from my computer (maybe transcoding on-the-fly to mp4 using vlc) and then open the stream with a player on the ipad that supports hardware accelaration.

PS. I own an ipad3 and I am on windows8 if it matters!

One Media app with stellar streaming capability is nPlayer. Can access just about any type of network share, and play just about any media type.

Since it supports hardware acceleration (in order not to drain the battery) then it's ok!
