You have been infected by a virus

was using "offline video player +" by evolution using their browser. I then got a pop up saying that I had been infected, my sim would be destroyed etc unless I clicked OK. Tried to escape but the app was locked up. Exited from it, reset my iPad went back into the app but it was still locked up. Deleted the app completely and then reinstalled it. Immediately it asked for my password (I had activated the password option) but again the app is locked up - how, is this possible if I uninstalled it completely and have I got anything undesirable on my iPAD Pro ?.
Any help appreciated.

I would immediately re-delete the App from your device and contact the Developer.

Thanks to Apple's sandboxing constraints, any sort of corruption should be contained within the contaminated App.

You may also want to report the problem to Apple. If they receive enough complaints they can pull the app from the App Store.
