Youtube application on iPad 3

Hi,

I noticed youtube application is sometimes stops video being played. I noticed also this is may be due to slow internet connection. Is there anyway to decrease the resolution of the played video? Is there any alternative application for youtube on iPad?

The YouTube app defaults to the HD resolution of the video if available. You can use the YouTube mobile site in Safari and choose the non-HD version. But the video would look terrible. It's like 240p or something. You can't choose the other resolutions (360p, 480). It's either crap and fast or HD and slow.

One alternative is to use YourTube HD. But it requires jailbreaking your iPad.

Or...

Using the iCab mobile browser and download the video first before watching it.
