Airstash help

Hi everybody,I've been playing with the air stash USB all day and am probably going to make a fool of myself by asking for the kind of info
Here goes anyway
I turn on air stash ,turn on iPad go to settings turn off Internet connection and iPad automatically links to air stash
If I then go to laptop wifi settings it then allows me to do the same so my question is will it work
Without plugging air stash into USB so in effect using the air stash as middleman as it were.
I don't really have a lot of confidence of iCloud which instigated to buy air stash with not being able to find hotspots and all, and just trying to find out what it will do

There is a forum member name AQ-CO who is our resident airstash forum member, I think one of our moderators named Gabriel also knows the Airstash device. Hopefully they'll see your question and help you.
