The game also boasts fully dynamic lighting, dynamic weather effects, and six snowboarders to choose from. It also bucks the recent freemium trend by costing a flat $1.99 with no in-app purchases whatsoever. One purchase and that’s it, no more exhortations for you to spend more money just to continue to the next level.
"Join Alto and his friends as they embark on an endless snowboarding odyssey. “Journey across the beautiful alpine hills of their native wilderness, through neighbouring villages, ancient woodlands, and long-abandoned ruins. Along the way you'll rescue runaway llamas, grind rooftops, leap over terrifying chasms and outwit the mountain elders – all while braving the ever changing elements and passage of time upon the mountain."
Tricks are easy in the game, with just one button to press as you guide your snowboarder through some scenic locations and weather systems, including thunderstorms, blizzards, fog, rainbows, shooting stars, and much more.
There are more than 180 goals to achieve, and you can also challenge your friends via Game Center to earn the highest score, best distance, and best trick combo.
You can also change the gameplay dynamic by obtaining a wingsuit from Izel’s workshop, which sounds suitably intriguing!
Both the press reviews and App Store reviews from happy customers have been excellent, so well worth a download, it would seem.
