I don't know which website you're speaking about but many of them which do offer a discount are connected to Piracy.

Also if the Developers of the game find you have bought from another site you may find yourself back to the start of your game and lose everything you have played for.

Not a good idea in my book......

I second Col.Bris's suggestion to purchase an iTunes card and use this within the game itself for purchases.
