App with data search or find function

Is there an application that will perform the "find" function from Excel?

I have large price list files (currently Excel files) with thousands of lines of data. I would like to be able to load these into IPAD and then find a particular stock code within the spreadsheet via some sort of find or search command.

If none of the "spreadsheet" apps do this - could I convert my data from excel to another format (prior to uploading it on the ipad) and then use an App which has this fucntionality?
