App won't finish installing

Hi All. I have a problem which I cannot find an answer for anywhere.
I was installing the update for an App (4oD - a UK tv catchup) when it stopped installing in the middle. It now appears permanently in my App Store Updates.

Tried so far:
1. Reset
2. Searching Internet apple help pages for a solution.
3. Searching general Internet

An IPad 3. No problems up to now.

When you say reset, do you mean that you pressed and held the power button and home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appeared, then released both buttons?
Have you tried deleting, then re-installing the app?

Hi.
Yes did the full reboot using both buttons but no joy . The App is shown as installing so nothing I have tried has worked as I can find no way to alter this status.

Have you tried this;

Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. No data will be lost if you try this.

Dear Scififan

This has half solved the problem as the App no longer appears in the open apps at the bottom of the screen (I realise that I did not mention this in my original post.

Thank you very much. I will now try all the measures again e.g boot using home button, deleting App etc and report the results.
