AppleInsider reports today that Apple continues to make great strides forward with enterprise users. According to figures published today by Good Technology, the iPad can claim a staggering 96 percent of total tablet activations by enterprise customers in the third quarter of 2011, with Android only representing 4 percent. Breaking down the figures even further, it seems that iPad use has grown most significantly in the financial services industry, making up 46 percent of total iPad activations for the quarter, triple that of any other sector of industry. The iPhone is also doing spectacularly well with enterprise customers, holding off a surge from Android devices and still managing to claim 61 percent of all enterprise smartphone activations, while Android phones have 39 percent. Total iOS activations, including both iPhone and iPad, make up more than 70 percent of all device activations in the third quarter, according to Good Technology's figures. Good Technology expects the iPhone to do even better in the next quarter following the release of the iPhone 4S.
