MacRumors reports that Apple is once again hosting free summer camps for kids aged from 8 to 12 in its retail stores.

The focus for this year’s camps will be filmmaking on the Mac with iMovie, creating music scores with GarageBand for the iPad, and how to draw illustrations for iBooks on iPad. On the third day of the camp, the children will get the chance to participate in the Apple Camp Showcase and share what they have created with the other campers.

The first camp kicks off in mid-July, and the summer camp program will last until the beginning of August. As you might expect, some stores’ programs are already fully booked, but MacRumors says that you can register for a session on Apple’s official retail websites in the US and Canada.

Parents in China, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK can register in their own country’s online retail stores to be notified when they can book a session.
