USAA is one of Apple's partners in their new Apple Pay mobile payment project that Apple will be implementing soon. As it turns out, USAA may have inadvertently leaked just how soon the Apple Pay project will kick off. Here's what Vikram Parekh, assistant vice president at USAA Bank, recently let slip in regards to Apple Pay, "Nov. 7 for USAA MasterCard and USAA Visa cards."
USAA is one of many new partners with Apple on this new mobile payment service. Here's a quote with more of the details,
During its event Apple said it would initially support cards from American Express, MasterCard, and Visa through a number of issuing banks in the US including Citi, Bank of America, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Chase, American Express PNC, Navy Federal Credit Union, Barclays, USBank, and USAA. On its website, however, PNC, Navy Federal Credit Union, Barclays, USBank, and USAAare listed separately as “coming soon”.
It's still not clear if this date is simply when USAA's connection to Apple Pay will come online separately from other banks, or if all of them will startup at the same time. Most of them don't specify a certain date and simply state "coming soon" or "later this fall," on their company websites.
